Sea Otter Recap
Pedro’s, the Plus 3 Network (more on these guys later), and the volunteers from the Naval Postgraduate Academy, washed a lot of bikes over the weekend to benefit the Semper Fi Fund.I was really surprised at how big the Sea Otter Classic really was. Aside from all the racing - Downhill, Dual Slalom, Road Races, Criteriums, Circuit Races, Cross Country, and Short Track, there were also two separate pump tracks and a trick area.
The EXPO area was massive and it was a great opportunity to meet with all the industry leaders to see what they were promoting this season (watch out for what GoPro®
This video captures a lot of what I saw over the weekend as I followed Matt Simpson and the Pedro’s crew around the event. What it doesn’t capture is the ridiculous sunburn I achieved by wearing no sunblock for an entire day.

Sea Otter Starbucks
Day one of the Pedro’s Sea Otter Project.Matt Simpson and I appear to both be early risers, even when it’s lights out only four hours earlier.
That said, we both drink coffee. So the first order of the day was a coffee stop.

I Just Rode the World Championships Course
Thursday morning we took to the Worlds course in Sankt Wendel, Germany.
Tim stumbled into us on his way to a workout on the course so, naturally, we followed him.
And he made fun of me. Again.
Then we rode the course. I was scared for 50% of it.
