My First CX Win - And Another Thing.

I won a race today…Sandbagger…yeah, yeah, yeah. First win.

Later in the day, I was shown this tweet from local bike builder Spooky Bikes:

Total a-hole statement.

Even worse is it was directed at Todd Prekaski, a guy who gives a lot back to the sport.

While Todd hasn’t won a race on his Cannondale Super X with Sram Red and Zipp 303 tubulars, I think it’s safe to say he works as hard as the guys up front and would you believe it, he’s having fun out there on the awesome equipment!

Until some effing a-hole makes a comment like the one above.

There aren’t a lot of Pros out there, but there are a lot of Amateurs. We are lucky enough, as consumers, to have the opportunity to ride the equipment the Pros develop with manufacturers. Some equipment is more expensive than others.

For example: a Ferrari probably drives a little differently than a Ford.

But if your name’s not Michael Schumacher you don’t deserve to be behind the wheel of that Ferrari, right?
