Elite World Cyclocross Championships Preview
Wow, so much going on here and so much to do the last two days…it has been a whirl wind.
The stress of missing some footage and not getting what you had planned to get on camera is overwhelming. Add unruly, drunken European fans and it can get complicated.
As the race draws near, Tim becomes more focused and busy, and in turn, harder to follow. We can sense space is needed in the...

Richard Fries Shows Us The Goods.
You all probably know his voice…so when we heard it, we followed it.
When we found it, its owner offered a tour of the facilities it uses at an event like the Professional Cyclocross World Championships.
All it took was some quick talking by Richard Fries to get us past the security and then it was smooth sailing.

I Just Rode the World Championships Course
Thursday morning we took to the Worlds course in Sankt Wendel, Germany.
Tim stumbled into us on his way to a workout on the course so, naturally, we followed him.
And he made fun of me. Again.
Then we rode the course. I was scared for 50% of it.

A Real World Championships Course?
We bid “Adieu” to Belgium on Monday afternoon.
At the risk of offending Belgians, and at the risk of making a generalization about a country I really don’t know much about, I will just say it was time to move on by the time we finally did.
What I can say is this: Being given the opportunity to live in Belgium for a few days and jump head first into the world of cycling here...

The Day Before and The Day Of Masters Worlds.
Words can only do so much justice when one tries to share a truly foreign event. Todd took some truly amazing photos over the past weekend, more of which can be seen HERE and he captured some images from my race that do it more justice than I think I can with the written word.
So prepare for a BLOG post filled with photos…
Friday, the day before Worlds, I realized I had forgotten my...

Our Wives Are Stuck in 20 Inches of Snow.
What the hell am I talking about?
I don’t really know, because it’s 3:30 am. But you need content.
The audio is a little tough on this cut, because Francis Mourey insisted on having his bike washed behind us.
So here:

Do You Want to Talk About My Race?
The latest installment from the B-Roll footage.
Honestly, to me, our races don’t seem to be that different.
Masters Worlds in Mol, Belgium
We finally have a dependable internet connection and it’s coming from the Press Room at the Hoogerheide World Cup. So Todd.
It’s so nice and warm and dry in here…so awful, cold and wet outside…
We will finally hook up with Tim in about 30 minutes, where we will capture some footage with him that we can use to put together our video update from yesterday.

The Day Before Masters Worlds...
…was the day I would regret not bringing my Pedro’s Master Tool Kit on the plane (which probably would have been free of charge).
It was also the day I would regret not packing a sandwich for lunch.
And I should have brought water.
A Morning in Dublin.
All things considered, the travel yesterday really wasn’t that bad…
After an email scare from Aer Lingus telling us our connection to Brussels from Dublin was canceled, Todd and I soon found out we would be flying on the next available flight, seven hours later.
This translated into one thing for me: NO BAGGAGE FEES.
After telling the kind, Irish lass that she was ruining my...

Giddyup Go Time.
The good news is Todd and I are at the airport, just one hour away from flying overseas.
The bad news is there is a goddamned Industrial Strike over there so our one hour layover just became a seven hour layover.
I’m really stressed about this, because I planned on spending every possible minute in Belgium pre-riding the course and training.
I train pretty hard.
